Calif. Drops Appeal Of Auto Emissions Suit

Law360, New York (June 24, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Citing recent progress toward reducing greenhouse gas emissions and the grievous condition of the U.S. auto industry, California Attorney General Edmund G. Brown Jr. has called off an appeal and put to rest the state’s public nuisance claims against General Motors Corp., Chrysler Group LLC and four other major carmakers.
