4th Circ. Revives Religious Bias Suit V. Contractor

Law360, New York (June 25, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has revived a religious discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against a North Carolina construction contractor, finding that the commission has offered sufficient evidence to back its claims.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit on Thursday vacated a summary judgment ruling in favor of Raleigh, N.C.-based Thompson Contracting, Grading, Paving and Utilities Inc. and sent the case back to the lower court.
