Claims Pared In Trump Condo Trademark Suit

Law360, New York (June 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has pared down a trademark case that accuses a Florida real estate broker of misusing the mark of a condo owned by property mogul Donald Trump in advertisements for her real estate agency.

Judge Daniel Hurley of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida on Wednesday determined on summary judgment that Trump Plaza of the Palm Beaches Condominium Association Inc. lacked standing to bring trademark dilution and cybersquatting claims, but found it could pursue its false association claim.
