Westport Off Hook In 'Bizarre' SC Defamation Case

Law360, New York (June 30, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Westport Insurance Corp. will not have to cover defense costs in what was called a “bizarre” defamation case involving a former news director at a South Carolina television station, now that a federal judge has dismissed allegations of misrepresentations and false statements made by co-insurer Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.
