Law360, New York (July 06, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- The European Commission has confirmed that it conducted unannounced inspections in the special glass sector on suspicions that several companies have been running an illegal cartel.
Officials with the European Union's antitrust regulator inspected the industrial premises of a number of unnamed companies in the special glass industry on March 4, the agency said in a statement Friday.
“The commission has reason to believe that there may have been a violation in this sector of EC Treaty rules on restrictive business practices,” the agency said....
