Dickinson Seeks To Drop $33M Malpractice Claims

Law360, New York (July 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Citing a $1.75 million settlement between Warrior Sports Inc. and the former Artz & Artz PC patent attorneys who allegedly caused the company's lacrosse stick patent to lapse, Dickinson Wright PLLC has argued it is not liable for the sporting goods maker's malpractice claims over events that happened before the firms combined.

Dickinson filed a motion asking the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan to dismiss Warrior's successor liability claims or for partial summary judgment in the case.
