Plainview Salmonella Recall Hits Dozens Of Brands

Law360, New York (July 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Dietary supplements, drink mixes and gravies have become the latest products to be pulled off the shelves as the Plainview Milk Products Cooperative recall of food ingredients suspected of salmonella contamination expands to consumer products.

Vital Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s powdered dietary supplements, Lewis Laboratories International Ltd.'s nutritional drink mixes, and C.F. Sauer Co.'s gravies and sauce mixes have joined the list of retail products affected by Plainview's ingredient recall, the companies announced Tuesday.
