U.K. Patent Attorneys Rally For Single Patent Court

Law360, New York (October 2, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group of U.K. patent attorneys is fighting to push through a plan for a single European Patent Court, and is laying blame on some European Parliament members for dragging their feet over a proposal for the court.

The Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys maintains that the single court system will make patent enforcement cheaper and easier in Europe. But certain Parliament members have argued that the court is too expensive and undemocratic, and have tabled a motion to scrap the proposal, according to the institute....
