Fired Patent Attorney Loses Age Discrimination Suit

Law360, New York (October 2, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A senior patent attorney who was fired for sexual harassment in 2002 lost a suit on Friday brought against his former employer that alleged age discrimination and unlawful retaliation for accusing the company’s deputy general counsel of age discrimination.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts rejected the claims of plaintiff David Bennett, granting Saint-Gobain Corp.’s motion for summary judgment because Bennett had failed to argue any genuine issue.
