Solar, Wind Experts Want Full Press Into Alt. Energy

Law360, New York (July 10, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A lag in research and development funding has held back the growth of wind and solar power in the U.S., and the recession has further dampened progress, key industry voices told lawmakers on Tuesday.

"Wind power is still constrained by difficulties in market acceptance," Steve Lockard of the American Wind Association told a research subcommittee of the U.S. House of Representatives.
