9th Circ. Sends SAG ERISA Suit Back To Court

Law360, New York (July 16, 2009, 12:55 PM EDT) -- In a Screen Actors Guild benefits spat over a TV ad campaign featuring golfer Fred “Boom Boom” Couples, a federal appeals court has determined that a collective bargaining deal alone doesn't offer enough guidance on how much an ad agency must pay into SAG's health plans.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit reversed and remanded part of a district judge's summary judgment ruling against the Trustees of the Screen Actors Guild-Producers Pension and Health Plans.
