Apple, LG, Microsoft Hit With Touch Pad Patent Suit

Law360, New York (July 16, 2009, 12:47 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc., Microsoft Corp. and LG Electronics Inc. are among the major electronics companies sued by Tsera LLC for infringing a patent related to touch pad technology.

Texas-based Tsera filed the suit Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, naming over a dozen defendants.

All of the defendants are accused of selling “portable electronic devices having touch-sensitive surfaces,” and the suit lists products made by each defendant that allegedly infringe the patent.
