Teva Yanks Tainted Lots Of Anesthetic Propofol

Law360, New York (July 17, 2009, 11:31 AM EDT) -- Teva Pharmaceuticals USA has issued a voluntary nationwide recall of two lots of propofol, the powerful anesthetic that has come under heavy scrutiny in recent weeks after it was allegedly found in the home of deceased pop icon Michael Jackson.

The company said Thursday it had decided to recall propofol injectable emulsion 10 mg/mL 100 mL vials, lot numbers 31305429B and 31305430B, due to the presence of elevated endotoxin levels in some vials with those lot numbers.
