House Passes Bill In Support Of Bird Conservation

Law360, New York (July 17, 2009, 5:19 PM EDT) -- The U.S. House of Representatives has unanimously approved a bill that would promote the establishment of voluntary public-private partnerships, or joint ventures, to prioritize and then conserve key bird habitats.

The bill, known as the Bird Habitat Conservation Act, passed the House on Thursday by a 400-0 vote. It will now move to the U.S. Senate, where companion legislation has yet to be introduced.
