Lawyers Request $4.4M From Oneida

Law360, New York (October 4, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Attorneys involved in Oneida Ltd.’s bankruptcy case have asked the court to approve more than $4.4 million in compensation and expenses for guiding the dinnerware and flatware maker out of Chapter 11.

Shearman & Sterling LLP attorneys, who represented Oneida in the case, requested final allowance of compensation on Tuesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York for professional services and expenses.

They are seeking payment for more than $4 million in fees and about $336,000 in expenses for their involvement...
