NDW Accuses Rival Of Using Mark In Internet Ads

Law360, New York (July 22, 2009, 8:22 PM EDT) -- National Dealers Warranty Inc., which offers auto service contracts, has targeted a direct competitor in a trademark infringement and unfair competition suit for allegedly using NDW’s mark “stoprepairbills.com” in Internet advertising to illegally steer traffic to the rival's Web site.

Saint Peters, Mo.-based NDW lodged the suit Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, accusing Guardian Web Co. LLC and its subsidiary AA Auto Warranty LLC of willfully using NDW's trademark and other confusingly similar phrases in their Internet ads....
