Dozens Arrested In NJ, NY Money Laundering Probe

Law360, New York (July 23, 2009, 6:09 PM EDT) -- Three New Jersey mayors, two state assemblymen, numerous other public officials and five rabbis are among those embroiled in a wide-ranging federal probe related to money laundering, public corruption and even human kidney trafficking.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey announced Thursday that criminal complaints had been filed against 44 individuals, most of whom were arrested early in the morning by a contingent of federal agents.
