Law360, New York (July 24, 2009, 5:51 PM EDT) -- A judge has granted a preliminary injunction blocking a Westbury, N.Y., restaurant owner from using the name “Japonais” for his business in the wake of upscale Chicago-based restaurant brand Geisha LLC claiming he fraudulently squatted on the trademark Geisha has been using for a successful string of restaurants.
