Plaintiffs Amend Class Actions In Lawn Mower MDL

Law360, New York (July 24, 2009, 7:07 PM EDT) -- Plaintiffs in the multidistrict litigation alleging that lawn mower retailers and manufacturers, including The Toro Co., Kawasaki Motors Corp USA, Deere & Co. and Sears Roebuck & Co., lied to consumers by overstating the horsepower of lawn mower engines have amended their allegations.

At least 13 amended complaints were filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin Thursday and Friday from plaintiffs representing proposed classes in states including Iowa, Arkansas and Alabama.
