Former Prosecutor Pleads Guilty In Client Stock Scam

Law360, New York (October 5, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former U.S. attorney agreed on Wednesday to plead guilty to federal charges for conspiracy to launder $1.3 million in an e-mail stock scam.

Sam Currin, once a state judge and a protégé of U.S. Senator Jesse Helms, faces up to nine years in prison.
