Kawasaki Sues Rival Over Jet Ski Patents

Law360, New York (October 5, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two personal watercraft manufacturers are squaring off over five patents in federal court in Texas, with the plaintiff seeking the “destruction” of the allegedly infringing products.

Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., which makes Jet Ski watercraft, filed the patent infringement suit Tuesday against Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. and BRP US Inc., which make and distribute the Sea-Doo line of personal watercraft.
