Amazon, Cordance Face Pretrial Setbacks In IP Suit

Law360, New York (July 29, 2009, 4:24 PM EDT) -- Just days after largely losing a bid for summary judgment on several infringement claims brought by Cordance Corp. in a lawsuit over patents related to online purchasing technology, Amazon.com Inc. has been dealt another blow by a ruling that its patent misuse claims will be heard by a judge, not a jury.
