DC Circ. Clarifies Bush-Era Oil, Gas Drilling Block

Law360, New York (July 29, 2009, 3:40 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has said that an earlier ruling stopping a Bush administration plan to expand oil and gas drilling applied only to the coast of Alaska, allowing the U.S. Department of the Interior to continue the sale of lease contracts in the Gulf of Mexico.
