Weida Atty Agrees To Injunction In SEC Fraud Suit

Law360, New York (August 3, 2009, 3:07 PM EDT) -- A Fort Lauderdale, Fla., attorney accused of defrauding investors in telecommunications company Weida Communications Inc. has settled civil claims brought by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, following a guilty plea in a related criminal suit to concealing a felony.

The SEC filed the complaint and consent decree concurrently Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, proposing a judgment against securities lawyer L. Daniel Ferrer.
