Secret Camera Didn't Violate Privacy: Calif. High Court

Law360, New York (August 04, 2009, 4:20 PM ET) -- California's highest court has upheld the dismissal of claims by two employees of a residence for abused children that their privacy was invaded by the installation of a hidden camera meant to track down a suspected pornography viewer.

The California Supreme Court on Monday agreed that a trial court had properly thrown out the claims against Hillsides Inc. and Hillsides Children Center Inc., which operate a private nonprofit residential facility for neglected and abused children, including the victims of sexual abuse.
