Asbestos Group's Bid For CAA Ruling Review Nixed

Law360, New York (August 4, 2009, 12:41 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has refused to reconsider her dismissal of an asbestos group's Clean Air Act claim against the city of St. Louis, affirming that the group lacks standing to sue the city under the CAA for allegedly exposing residents to asbestos.

On Monday, Judge Carol E. Jackson of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri denied the motion to reconsider filed by the Families for Asbestos Compliance, Testing and Safety, or FACTS.
