Class Certification Sought In Fight Over Wii Straps

Law360, New York (August 4, 2009, 12:33 PM EDT) -- Plaintiffs have asked a judge for class certification in a suit alleging that Nintendo of America Inc. knowingly distributes defective safety straps for its Wii interactive video game system.

The motion, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, seeks certification of a class that includes all owners of a Wii remote wrist strap marketed by Nintendo, its agents or its licensees.
