Mass. High Court Nixes New Trial In Skycap Tips Case

Law360, New York (August 4, 2009, 5:28 PM EDT) -- The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court has reversed a federal district court's order of a new trial of a case in which a jury awarded eight skycaps who worked for American Airlines Inc. through an independent contractor $283,000 in tips they were allegedly denied because of the airline's bag-checking service charges.
