Broadway Producer Gets 7 Years For Investor Scam

Law360, New York (August 5, 2009, 9:10 PM EDT) -- One-time Broadway producer Garth H. Drabinsky has reportedly been sentenced to seven years in prison for defrauding $470 million from shareholders in his production company, Livent.

The New York Times reported that Drabinsky was sentenced Wednesday in Ontario Superior Court in Toronto along with his former business partner Myron I. Gottlieb, who received six years in prison for his alleged role in the scheme.
