Sens. Introduce Companion Gay Worker Rights Bill

Law360, New York (August 6, 2009, 12:26 PM EDT) -- Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., and 38 co-sponsors have introduced a long-debated measure that would ban employment discrimination against gay, bisexual and transgender employees.

The legislation, known as the Employment Non-Discrimination Act of 2009, has been kicking around in one version or another for more than 30 years.
