FTC Seeks More Info On Watson, Arrow Merger

Law360, New York (August 7, 2009, 1:57 PM EDT) -- The Federal Trade Commission has issued a second request to Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. for more information regarding its proposed merger with generics maker Arrow Group.

Watson announced in June that it would buy Arrow for $1.75 billion in cash and stock. In a statement Thursday, Watson said it would cooperate with the FTC and that it still expected the Arrow deal to close in the second half of 2009.
