Lincoln Electric Files ITC Suit Over Wire Containers

Law360, New York (August 10, 2009, 4:59 PM EDT) -- An Ohio-based maker of welding equipment has filed an infringement suit before the U.S. International Trade Commission, seeking to block the sale of bulk wire containers from five foreign manufacturers.

In a complaint filed Friday, Cleveland-based Lincoln Electric Co. and its sister company, Lincoln Global Inc. of City of Industry, Calif., claim the companies have violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 by selling infringing bulk wire containers in the U.S.
