Senate Confirms 2 New CPSC Commissioners

Law360, New York (August 10, 2009, 4:18 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate has signed off on President Barack Obama's nominees to serve on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, completing the agency's newly authorized five-commissioner lineup.

Senators confirmed Robert Adler, a veteran CPSC legal advisor, and former Republican Congresswoman Anne Northup as the CPSC's fourth and fifth commissioners, respectively, by a voice vote on Friday.

Adler and Northup join Commissioners Thomas Hill Moore and Nancy Nord and Chairwoman Inez Tenenbaum on the CPSC panel, which Obama recently expanded from three members.
