Medical Device Maker Sued For Infringement, Libel

Law360, New York (August 10, 2009, 2:46 PM EDT) -- Medical device maker Somanetics Corp. has accused rival CAS Medical Systems Inc. of making an oxygen monitoring device that infringes its patents.

Somanetics filed a complaint Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan accusing CAS Medical of willfully infringing three patents and making false statements about the quality of Somanetics' products.
