EPA Can Decide Timing Of Cleanup Rules: Judge

Law360, New York (August 10, 2009, 2:43 PM EDT) -- In a suit brought by the Sierra Club and other environmental groups, a federal judge has ruled that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has the discretion to decide when to declare rules requiring polluting companies to provide assurances that they can pay for future cleanups.
