FedEx Corp. Lashes Back At EEOC

Law360, New York (October 11, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Unperturbed by an unfavorable decision by a district court in Arizona, FedEx Corp. recently delivered its motion to dismiss an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission subpoena to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The subpoena, filed in February by the EEOC, required FedEx to produce information related to an EEOC investigation into unlawful employment practices against minorities.

The EEOC was investigating a race discrimination charge which accused FedEx of engaging in a pattern and practice of discriminating against African Americans and Latinos for promotions.
