IT Staffer Attacks AT&T Over On-Call Policy

Law360, New York (August 13, 2009, 4:19 PM EDT) -- AT&T Inc. has been slammed with a proposed class action accusing the telephone giant of cheating its information technology staff out of overtime wages for remaining on call at all times in order to troubleshoot a wide array of problems.

Antony Green filed suit Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, contending that AT&T violated the California's labor statute by refusing to pay IT workers for the time they were required to be on standby.
