Plea Spares Madoff CFO Drug, Gun, Tax Charges

Madoff Investment Securities LLC avoided charges of deceiving federal investigators, possessing unregistered firearms and illegal drug use when he admitted to a raft of criminal charges centering on his role in the multibillion-dollar investment rip-off.

Frank DiPascali Jr. pled guilty in a criminal information in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Tuesday, admitting to charges including conspiracy, securities fraud, investment adviser fraud and falsifying records.
