ITC Puts Final Stamp On Sony LED Patent Settlement

Law360, New York (August 14, 2009, 3:03 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has given its final approval to a settlement in a patent dispute between a Columbia University professor and Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB, one of several technology giants accused of infringing the professor's light-emitting diode patent.

The ITC will not review an administrative law judge's initial determination terminating a Section 337 investigation into Sony, ITC Secretary Marilyn R. Abbott said in a notice filed Wednesday.
