Limitations Issue Revives Nestlé Model's Suit

Law360, New York (August 17, 2009, 4:24 PM EDT) -- California's highest court has breathed new life into a protracted lawsuit over a former model's claims that Nestlé USA Inc. used his image without his permission on Taster's Choice coffee labels, ordering a lower court to revisit the issue of whether the claims were brought before the limitations period expired.

The California Supreme Court on Monday affirmed an appeals court's reversal of a $15.3 million judgment for Russell Christoff, who sued the company for using his likeness without his permission and copying it.
