Ikea Challenges Air Cargo Industry

Law360, New York (October 12, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Swedish retail giant Ikea Services AB has become the latest company to file charges against the $60 billion air cargo industry, accusing it of engaging in a global conspiracy to fix prices.

The proposed class action suit, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court in Brooklyn, N.Y., alleges that numerous airlines colluded to jack up surcharges for such things as fuel, security and insurance.
