TGH International Trading Penalized For Toy Imports

Law360, New York (August 18, 2009, 4:21 PM EDT) -- Los Angeles-based TGH International Trading Inc. has agreed to pay a $31,500 civil fine to settle claims that it imported toys with small parts that could choke children, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced.

The CPSC said Monday the provisionally accepted penalty, which settles allegations that the TGH International toys violated the Federal Hazardous Substances Act.

TGH's fine relates to more than 11,000 toys that it imported to the U.S. between March 2005 and June 2006. The CSPC said a joint probe with U.S. Customs...
