Finjan $9M Antivirus Patent Award Upped To Over $13M

Law360, New York (August 19, 2009, 5:31 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has increased a $9.18 million jury verdict against Secure Computing Corp. for alleged infringement of Finjan Software Ltd.'s Internet antivirus patents to over $13 million and has awarded Finjan a permanent injunction.

Judge Gregory M. Sleet of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware ruled Tuesday that Finjan was entitled to an accounting of damages stemming from sales of Secure Computing's allegedly infringing products after Sept. 9, 2007, which the jury didn't consider.
