Jury Gives Amazon Win In Online Shopping Patent Suit

Law360, New York (August 21, 2009, 2:22 PM EDT) -- A jury has found that Amazon.com Inc. did not infringe two Cordance Corp. patents related to online purchasing technology, and that a third Cordance patent is invalid.

In a verdict handed down Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, the jury found that Amazon did not infringe any asserted claims of U.S. Patent Numbers 5,862,325 and 6,088,717.

The jury also found that all asserted claims of U.S. Patent Number 6,757,710 were invalid.
