Law360, New York (August 20, 2009, 6:58 PM ET) -- Cintas Corp. has agreed to pay about $24 million to resolve a 2003 collective action alleging the uniform manufacturer misclassified thousands of delivery drivers as exempt employees to avoid paying overtime.
Cintas said Thursday it reached a mediated settlement with the drivers, and the deal is pending the approval of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, according to a company filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The company said the approval process was likely to take several months.
