Duke Denied New Trial In Pipeline Spat With Ranch

Law360, New York (August 21, 2009, 6:50 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has denied a Duke Energy Corp. unit's request for a new trial and refused to cut from $131,500 to $2,600 a damages award the natural gas company originally won on summary judgment in litigation with an Oklahoma ranch over property damage from a leaking pipeline.
