Stanford To Remain Behind Bars

Law360, New York (August 25, 2009, 1:28 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has rejected Robert Allen Stanford's request to be released from jail, concurring with the lower court that the Texas billionaire could escape from the country as he awaits trial.

On Monday, the Fifth Circuit affirmed the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas' ruling revoking Stanford's bond.
