Steelworkers Back Duties On Magnesia Carbon Brick

Law360, New York (August 26, 2009, 3:33 PM EDT) -- The United Steelworkers union is throwing its support behind Resco Products Inc.'s petition for anti-dumping duties and countervailing duties against Chinese and Mexican imports of magnesia carbon brick.

The union said in a revised letter posted Tuesday with the U.S. International Trade Commission that dumped and subsidized imports had hurt U.S. production and led to layoffs at Resco's facility in Hammond, Ind.
