P&G Ends Air Freshener Dustup With SC Johnson

Law360, New York (August 26, 2009, 12:23 PM EDT) -- Procter & Gamble Co. and rival S.C. Johnson & Son Inc. have cleared the air in their patent dispute over fabric odor eliminator sprays.

In dismissing the case Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Judge Ron Clark ordered P&G's infringement claims for the three patents in the case dismissed with prejudice.

He also tossed S.C. Johnson's defenses and counterclaims for judgment of noninfringement, invalidity and unenforceability of the patents without prejudice, dismissing them as moot.
