NYSE Euronext To Buy NYFIX In $144M Deal

Law360, New York (August 27, 2009, 12:21 PM EDT) -- Stock exchange NYSE Euronext has reached a $144 million agreement to acquire financial trading technology company NYFIX Inc. in an all-cash deal aimed at boosting NYSE Euronext's software offerings.

Under the acquisition agreement NYSE Euronext will offer $1.675 per share of common stock, a 95 percent premium over NYFIX's closing price Wednesday on the Nasdaq. The deal must still be approved by NYFIX shareholders and is subject to regulatory approvals, the companies noted in a statement Thursday.
